Why I started SEO Slushie

I've been building websites and generating leads online for 12+ years. Most of that time has been spent with home service businesses: remodelers, roofers, HVAC companies, painters, electricians, and tree services. Through my ad agency, Black Bear Leads, I've helped contractors bring in over $710K in revenue and 500+ qualified leads.

I kept seeing the same thing. The contractors who did best long-term weren't the ones paying the most for clicks. They were the ones homeowners found on their own: top of the map, page one of Google, and now named by ChatGPT when someone asks who to hire.
